At the plenary meetings on 15 January 2009, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine scrutinized 36 issues of the agenda, including 19 Bills, 12 Draft Resolutions and motions of the President of Ukraine concerning 7 Laws of Ukraine.
Due to the results of scrutiny:
- 15 Laws and 15 Resolutions were adopted;
- 1 Bill was adopted as a basis;
- 1 Bill was returned to the Committee for further elaboration and submission for the repeated Second Reading;
- 1 Bill and 1 Draft Resolution were rejected.
Due to the results of scrutiny of the motions of the President of Ukraine:
- 2 Laws were adopted with account of the motions of President of Ukraine;
- veto of the President of Ukraine imposed on 2 Laws was overridden;
- 1 Law was rejected (veto was not overridden).
